I'm really excited to announce that I've won my very first award with an artwork entitled "Confined". The theme of the exhibition was "Created in Isolation" and was a call for artists to create a piece of their own choosing during lockdown 2020. My piece depicts my son standing at a window, football cradled under his arm, gazing longingly at the outside world. It can be viewed online at lightspacetime.art, alongside great works from artists all over the globe. My piece gained 7th place out of more than 1,800 entrants from 30 countries. To be placed so close to the top 5 in my very first competion is a great result for me and has spurred me on to push higher.
